Before coming to Amami, we are considering whether it is possible to introduce a system in which you can take a coronavirus antigen test and PCR test and get a negative proof.
As an incentive for this, we believe that local currency that can be used in the Amami archipelago will be issued to visitors with negative proof, and that this will lead to the revitalization of the local economy.

Our project aims to provide affordable healthcare delivery services in a social business way to design a smart and healthy community.
Background: Healthcare delivery to unreached communities (rural, disaster, hilly areas) has been difficult especially for developing countries due to huge infrastructure and operational cost. Thanks to recent penetration of mobile phones in developing countries, it became easier to design a new kind of remote healthcare delivery system.

Challenges: Providing remote healthcare delivery has technical, social and financial challenges.

Solution: We collaborated with Grameen family of organizations (the winner of 2006 Nobel peace prize) to design a social business model for the rural poor. We served 45000 people and gathered operational experience. We are applying software intelligence to make the system more efficient and to reduce healthcare costs to the consumers.

Short description of the project:
Challenge to a new world that no one has ever experienced

We, Smart Agri Relations Co., Ltd., are based on the manufacturing and sales of "Rice Resin", a raw material for plastic resin that utilizes domestic biomass resources such as rice. One of the companies will be a 100% subsidiary of Biomass Resin Holdings.

There are a mountain of problems that mankind must deal with as soon as possible, such as marine pollution by plastic, global warming, and food loss.・At the event of the Energy Ministers' Meeting, Masaharu Nakagawa, then Minister of the Environment, announced to the world that the annual domestic shipment of biomass plastics will be increased to 1.97 million tons in 2030.
In Europe and the United States, the rules for environmental consideration have already become stricter than in Japan, and there is no end to the trend of plastic-free in Asia.
In Japan, a charge for plastic shopping bags started in July 2020, but on a global scale, the movement to eliminate plastic and reduce CO2 is accelerating day by day.
We are working to popularize domestic biomass plastics in the rapidly expanding plastic-free market due to this dramatic change in the social environment.

At present, rice resin is not a biodegradable plastic, but a biomass-kneaded composite material made by mixing rice and olefin resin. By aiming, we started research and development in collaboration with Kyoto University.

At Smart Agri Relations Co., Ltd., corn (USA)-derived and sugarcane (Brazil)-derived biomass plastics are the mainstay of biomass plastics. By focusing on rice as a resource, we will start producing rice for new market development and high-yield rice that will be used as raw materials for domestic biomass plastics.

Rice consumption has been on a downward trend since it was surpassed by bread in 2011, and the amount of abandoned farmland has increased to 423,000 ha, an area larger than Shiga Prefecture.
In Japan, the consumption of rice continues to decline, and the issue of rice cultivation is the creation of new demand.
We are planning to use this "rice for new market development" system to utilize abandoned farmland all over Japan and plant rice as a raw material for biomass plastic. In 2008, we partnered with an agricultural production corporation in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture to plant high-yield rice.
We have been told that we would like to increase profitability by 4 to 5 times next year because the planting and harvesting of Niigata brand "Koshihikari", which is a staple food rice, will be delayed.

In this project, while hoping to revive the abandoned farmland scattered in the Hamadori area of Fukushima Prefecture, which was severely damaged on March 11, 2011, we collaborated with a major agricultural equipment manufacturer to introduce agricultural robots and improve productivity and efficiency. We will plant “rice for new market development” and aim to expand into Asia with the aim of becoming an agricultural model for all of Japan and a large-scale factory model for the rice-rich ASEAN region.

Innovative technology has always been involved in the history of human evolution. However, many people probably did not realize that the present age is inconvenient. In a convenient world, you realize that you were inconvenient until yesterday. And I'm thinking of a business that will change the present age to "yesterday."
Current deep learning methods are scattered and diversified, and solution discovery is brute-force and slow, so the original potential is not being demonstrated. For any given problem X, we need a search engine for AI by AI that predicts the best way to solve it.
A search engine for AI by AI has the power to solve all the social problems that people, companies, NPOs, and nations think about today.
Representative Kubota started a business while studying at Keio University (19) and is now in his 17th year. Completed data science/deep learning programs at the University of Tokyo GCI and MIT Sloan School of Management.
